Thanks to its 5 rows of spring hoes and its frame height of 60 cm, Simple guarantees a good working performance even in areas with heavy stalk residues.
The 80×80 mm gantry beams are arranged with a spacing of 500 mm.
The hoes are mounted on the beam with a 14.2 cm gap, which ensures a homogeneous surface across the entire width of the machine.
These dimensions allow for a distance of 71 cm between the hoes in a row, ensuring a clog-free operation even in the most difficult conditions.

Robust 4-roller frame structure

The NorAn Simple is designed to handle even the most hardest ground with ease.
The cultivator’s hoe spread is divided into three parts, with two 40 mm diameter pins on each side of the central fixed frame to ensure the pivot point of the wings, and two working rollers on each side to guarantee stability during operation.

Exceptional versatility - 70x12 spring hoes

The 70×12 mm spring hoe is the key to Simple’s optimal working quality.
The continuous vibration of the hoes allows the soil to be cultivated to a depth of 15-18 cm.
The 60 mm spear (wear tip) provides very good mixing in the top layers, ideal for seedbed preparation.
A 200 mm wide heart-shaped hoe is also available, which is ideal for shallow stubble ploughing and ensures the right mixing quality across the full width of the implement.
As an option, the hoes can also be ordered with additional 70×10 mm auxiliary springs, which increases the load capacity of the hoe tills.

Convenient hydraulic adjustment

You won’t find spindles to roll on the NorAn Simple shallow cultivator.
The machine is designed so that you can adjust everything from the driver’s cabin of the tractor.
That’s why hydraulic cylinders are used for the sealing rollers, as well as for the front shredding rollers and the crossboard line.

This innovation gives operators unrivalled convenience and speed – without the use of any tools.

Levelling unit in front of the cylinder

For a perfect finish, a leveller is mounted between the hoe implement and the roller, with an easily adjustable working depth.
As these elements are mounted on the roller frame, they move automatically with the roller when the working depth is adjusted, so they almost only need to be adjusted during commissioning.
The balk haulers fill in the trenches opened by the rear hoe line, so that the soil in front of the roller is already levelled, resulting in a uniformly compacted soil across the entire width of the machine.

I bought the NorAn Simple 5.0 shallow cultivator with shredding roller at the Bábolna Farmers' Days. I used it to make corn seedbeds in a corn stubble with a XXXX hp John Deere XXX tractor, driving my power machine at 10 km/h at 10 cm depth with 65% engine load. Overall, my opinion of the machine is that...... I plan to use it for the following tasks.....

In the spring of 2022, I purchased the NorAn Simple shallow cultivator with shredding roller, which was still a prototype at the time. My first job was to prepare seedbeds in the autumn by loosening the soil in a mulched area. It made a professional seedbed at first pass, without pulling together the stalk residue. In the summer, I used it for stubble ploughing, and then the real surprise was the maize harvest. Unfortunately, due to the drought, I "harvested" my 120-140 cm corn with this machine. The chopper roller cut the stalk nicely and I made the wheat seedbed in one go without any blockages. I'm very happy with the machine, I'm glad I chose a really good value for money.

Shredding roller line

A roller with blades, positioned in front of the hoe areas and equipped with sharp knives. The small-diameter roller provides high circumferential speed. The shredding roller is ideal for the treatment of sunflower, rape residues and even for shredding green manure crops. Shredding allows the plant residues to mix better with the soil, which speeds up their decomposition. The roller is secured to the frame structure by rubber springs so that harmful vibrations do not pass through to the frame structure. The pressure of the shredding rollers is hydraulically adjustable from the driver’s cabin.

Crossboard line

The hydraulically controlled crossboard leveller is ideal for smoothing rough surfaces left after ploughing and heavy cultivators. This means that the hoes meets an even surface, which further improves the quality of the work.

Front depth wheel

If you want to further increase the uniform working depth of the machine, you can choose a front depth wheel.

Spring-loaded stick harrow behind the roller

The 13 mm diameter rear row of leveller sticks is a simple tool with high efficiency. It is a tool for spreading larger clods, spreading straw residues evenly and for digging up weed roots and clearing them from the soil.

Heart-shaped hoe

For shallow work in weedier areas, it is useful to fit heart-shaped hoes to the spring hoe implement. The 145 mm wide hoes provide a full cut across the entire surface.

Spring reinforcement

he sturdy 70x12 mm spring hoes can be fitted with a 70x10 mm spring-loaded stirrup, which maintains the favourable vibration characteristics of the hoes while significantly increasing the release force.

Roller with spring-loaded plates

The NorAn Simple shallow cultivator is also available with a roller with spring-loaded plates, which is a real advantage in wet conditions. The roller is made up of independent spring steel segments that "throw off" the muddy-wet soil due to their elastic properties, so there is no need to worry about the roller getting clogged. This design creates a looser compaction that provides ideal germination conditions for our plants.

Pipe rod roller

The pipe rod roller is an entry-level sealing unit at an affordable price. Thanks to its low weight, this roller is particularly suitable for tractors with lower lifting power. Recommended mainly for light soils, it has a good load-bearing capacity and leaves a moderately compact soil surface due to its large surface area.

Pneumatic sowing unit

The NorAn Simple shallow cultivator can be equipped with a pneumatic small sowing unit, so you can even sow green manure or cover crops at the same time as stubble ploughing, saving you a considerable amount of time and money.

What are the cross-sections of the main frame of the machine?

NorAn’s engineers aimed to achieve the highest possible strength, so they chose 80x80x5 mm and 80x80x4 mm S355 material grade sections for both the main frame and the roller frame.
Two hydraulic cylinders are responsible for moving the wings and for stabilising the position of the wings in the working position.
