The place where NorAn machines are made in a Hungarian, family-owned factory

"FROM IDEA TO MASS PRODUCTION"

I mean, how do we build our machines here at NorAn?

NoranTech Munkagépek tervezése

NorAn’s name quickly became synonymous with innovation, because we receive requests to produce a variety of future-oriented machines from all parts of the country and from abroad as well.
We always look at these needs carefully and if we see that the solution could be useful for a wide range of farmers, we get down to designing.
First, we ask farmers for their views on their expectations of the machine. These needs drive the entire design process. In the design office, engineers highly skilled in 3D design and having agricultural experience create a three-dimensional model of the product. The next step is the finite element simulation, which shows you the load-bearing capacity of the critical points of the product at the drawing board. Once the model has passed this test, prototype production can start. Then, we take all our equipment for endurance tests to a number of farms around the country to make sure that the product is fit for the field.
Any repairs will be carried out, and then the product range is put into mass production.

How does production take place?

All is based on the use of high-quality raw materials, so the parts of our machines exposed to wear are made of hardened or wear-resistant HARDOX plates, and the tubes, end fittings and plates that support the frame structure are made of minimum S355MC material.

The first stage is cutting and contour cutting, which is done with a 3D pipe laser or band saw for tubes and rods and a CNC plasma cutter or CNC laser cutter for sheet metal parts.

Some sheet metal parts also require edge bending, and our CNC edge bender with 160 t of compression force and a maximum bending width of 3100 mm is a great help.{

The assembly of hand-welded frames is greatly aided by the use of assembly templates designed by production technologists, which ensure the exact positioning of all components, saving considerable time and increasing the dimensional accuracy of the machines produced.
Long-lasting strength of the welds is ensured by our highly skilled and experienced welders and top-quality Migatronic pulsed CO welding machines.

It is no longer economical to produce parts to be used in mass production manually, which is why we use robotic welding technology, provided by Japanese-made Panasonic welding robots, instead.
This ensures a stable high quality and significantly shorter production times for parts, while our workers are not exposed to high temperatures and high arc lights any more, which significantly increases their safety in the working environment.

Between each work process, the workpieces must pass a strict quality check and can proceed to the next stage only if has found all dimensions to be 100% correct.
The welding process is followed by painting, where the parts are given their characteristic NorAn grey, blue and yellow colours.
The first coat added after thorough degreasing is a dual-component industrial primer, which inhibits the appearance of rust for many years, and the top coat is finished by applying a high-gloss UV primer.

We help our staff with the exact sequence of parts assembly and assembly instructions on a tablet, where they can view three-dimensional models of our machines.

The assembly process is followed by a final inspection, which certifies that the machine is ready for use.

All NorAn machines are delivered with no transport charge and as quickly as possible to ensure that they can generate added value to their new owners as soon as possible.
And for our more complex machines with controls, we provide free commissioning.
