They are very economical to operate because there is no need for daily maintenance, no need for a PTO drive, and the machine contains no gearboxes, while the blades have a lifespan of SEVERAL THOUSAND HECTARES.
The traction power requirement of the roller is very low, and the optimum working speed is 8-15 km/h, so the area performance is several times higher and the working quality is orders of magnitude better than for conventional forage crushers.
15 cm shred size + also shreds trampled stalks + the blades are self-sharpening + in addition to shredding, it also does half the soil work due to the favourable angular position of the blades, so you can even do ultra shallow stubble ploughing in wheat, which means that weed seeds and volunteer plants hatch quickly.
More powerful shredding with a smaller diameter
A careful design process and countless field tests have resulted in the unique NorAn MXR shredding roller body, which features 9 interchangeable HARDOX blade rows along a 500 mm diameter, giving an RPM one and a half times greater than that of its 900 mm diameter counterparts at the same working speed.
The angle of the blades relative to each other is much more favourable, so this cylinder can be used longer in wet conditions.
Quality of shredding = weight per blade
NorAn’s X-PRESS CT roller, with its unique 500mm diameter and 9 rows of blades, loads the entire weight of the roller onto 1 or 2 rows of blades (D500 closed), while its larger 8-900 mm diameter counterparts, which have 15 rows of blades, load the weight of the roller onto 2-3 rows of blades (D800 closed), giving a higher load per blade than the NorAn cylinder.
The blades of the MXR shredder bodies are arranged in a row, so that the roller also does a significant amount of impact work as each blade hits the ground, greatly increasing its efficiency compared to its split-blade counterparts.
The open system of split-blade shredding rollers puts the weight of the significantly lighter machine on 5-6 rows of blades, which gives by far the worst chopping quality (D500 open).

If the blade on the shredding roller is worn out, there is no need to worry, because the blades can be easily replaced by loosening the fixing screws.
Water fillable roller bodies
All NorAn MXR shredding roller bodies are designed to be filled with water or oil to increase shredding efficiency.
In the case of using water for filling, make sure that the risk of frost is eliminated as winter approaches.
Filling is very easy: you just need to remove one of the two cover panels between the two rows of blades, and you have access to the ¾ inch filling hole.

Daily maintenance is limited to lubricating the grease points.

The Pro-Cutter 3.0 is a suspended shredding roller that can be operated economically with a smaller power machine, even an MTZ 82 tractor.
When used on front hydraulics with a larger power machine, you can protect your tractor from damage caused by stalks and easily perform a second operation in one pass, saving valuable time and fuel.

This solution is recommended for those who already have an unused roller frame or plan to use the frame for shredding in addition to compaction.
